Jess Strong - I was born
and raised in Zimbabwe. Not long after graduating college I
decided to travel to Europe. While there, I was given the opportunity
to move to the United States. I arrived in New York in April
1991. I live for a year in Pennsylvania, and then moved to northern
California where I lived in St Helena until 1998. At that time
I was offered a job in Texas, working in patient advocacy. Although
I loved working with people, I found that I missed northern
California terribly and wanted to move home. In January of 2001
I moved back to northern California. I was given a position
as an office manager in a real estate firm in the city, and
I found the career I thought I had given up in leaving Texas.
I studied for and passed my real estate license in 2004, the
same year I became a US citizen. In 2007 I started a small consulting
business that combined my real estate and management background.
I love architecture, (particularly residential), and the combination
of working with people, makes this career something that I can
be passionate about.
In 2006 my parents came to live with me in Petaluma. We love
the country feel of Sonoma County and yet we are close to the
beautiful city of San Francisco.
When I am not working, I relax by writing novels. Although only
one has been published, I find that it is a wonderful outlet.
